This summer, June 20 – July 1, 2016, Head Start directors and managers will come together for the 2016 UCLA Head Start Management Fellows Program. This 12-day training is an amazing opportunity for you to expand leadership skills and learn from university professors and community experts. Topics covered in the program cover business principles ranging from strategic planning, to marketing, and fiscal management (and a whole lot in between!). One of the key goals of the program is for fellows to walk away with strategies they can implement in their program. Participants also develop an extensive network of fellows from which to learn and troubleshoot. This is invaluable, particularly as you think about the challenges you may encounter – or have encountered in the past – and being able to tap into new knowledge and guidance from a network of peers

If you think the UCLA Head Start Management Fellows Program might be a good fit for you, there are criteria for admission listed on the program website. You must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a director or manager in EHS/HS, as well as documentation of a leadership role in a local, state or regional community organization. Check out the website for more detailed information about the criteria, timeline, and fees. Applications are due March 25, 2016 and you can download an application from the program website.

Thank you.
