CLASS® and Coaching

Foundations for Families is ready to provide the onsite or virtual support you need from our CERTIFIED CLASS® reviewers.

The Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS®) is a classroom observation tool used to assess the quality of teacher-child interactions. Our certified observers are trained to conduct observations in Infant, Toddler, and Pre-K classrooms, as well as family child care homes.

Prepare for a CLASS® Monitoring Review. Our team at Foundations for Families understands that preparing for a CLASS® review can be a challenge. Often, programs find it helpful to have an outside perspective on CLASS® before the official review takes place.

We offer review preparation support by visiting your program and conducting CLASS® observations in a sampling of classrooms that best meets your needs. We then provide detailed reports to help you recognize strengths, prioritize the areas that need attention, and prepare for the official review.

CLASS® for Enhancing Program Quality. Foundations for Families will conduct observations and provide comprehensive reports to support programs using CLASS® to enhance program quality. Our recommendations will help your agency leverage identified strengths and improve in areas where there is room for growth. CLASS® observations can also be used to inform your professional development plans and coaching activities to support ongoing continuous improvement efforts within your agency.

Coaching. Our team is available to provide coaching support through an approach grounded in the research-based Practice-Based Coaching model. CLASS® observations can be used to inform your professional development plans and coaching activities to support ongoing continuous improvement efforts within your agency. Our coaching approach is informed by best practices related to adult learning and our belief in the importance of collaboration, communication, and transparency.

Foundations for Families also offers technical assistance to support the development and implementation of a coaching model that meets your individual program needs.

We had complete confidence in the reliability of the FFF observers, who came with a wealth of knowledge and experience in the use of the tools, the curriculum, Infant and Toddler CLASS, coaching, and in family child care. Perfect for our needs!

The professionalism of all persons involved in the project made the company a pleasure to work with.
