Comprehensive Grant Writing. Through comprehensive grant writing, Foundations for Families team members provide customized support from start to finish. We help applicants plan, draft, and submit a high-quality, competitive proposal. Our day-by-day work plan includes weekly conference calls, strategic discussions, section drafts, copy edit and content reviews, and client approvals throughout the process. Foundations for Families’ custom tools, materials, and templates support a smooth and thoughtful process to grant writing that will help build your agency’s capacity to complete future proposals.

Grant Coaching. With grant coaching services, Foundations for Families provides applicants with tools and templates, while advising applicants throughout the proposal development process. The applicant drafts the proposal. We provide an in-depth review of each narrative section and provide feedback on content, format, competitiveness, and alignment with grant evaluation criteria. Regular check-ins – approximately four conference calls throughout the process – provide applicants with an opportunity to seek strategic input along the way.

Toolkit. If your program has the capacity to write its own grant proposal, then our grant writing Toolkit might be the right fit. Our resources will equip your program with a timeline, template, and process to successfully draft and submit a competitive proposal. With a step-by-step calendar to help you stay on track, our toolkit will direct you through the grant writing process. Questions and checklists based on grant criteria will prompt discussions about content and support a critical review of your final draft.

Quality Assurance Review. Using custom tools, Foundations for Families team members conduct a detailed review of an applicant’s proposal (drafted by the applicant) and provide feedback to strengthen compliance and competitiveness of the proposal. This review can be conducted once or twice during the proposal development period and is done with an eye to alignment with evaluation criteria and requirements of the Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA).

Grants.gov Submission Support. The importance of timely and accurate data entry and submission of application components in grants.gov cannot be underestimated. To help agencies through this final stage of the application process, Foundations for Families offers grants.gov submission support. We will walk you through application submission step-by-step so that you gain an understanding of grants.gov and feel confident that your application is compliant and meets the deadline.

It was a true pleasure working with Foundation for Families for our Head Start grant applications.

You offered the insight, structure and guidance we needed to think through difficult decisions and come up with proposals that reflect our agency’s strengths and attributes.

The technical tools you provided for grant writing activities, like timelines and checklists, were extremely valuable and helped us to stay on track.

You definitely helped us accomplish more than we ever could have done on our own and we are very happy with our decision to hire Foundation for Families!

…We developed substantial expertise in so many areas, including program design, HSPPS, appropriate staffing to meet the standards, extensive fiscal support through the budget design process, and a general understanding of the Head Start DRS landscape.

We were very much novices through this process, and we could not have made it through this process without this support.

The ability to secure proofreading, feedback and copy editing through FFF was invaluable.
