The countdown is on for EHS Expansion and Early Head Start – Child Care Partnership (EHS-CCP) Round 4. The fourth round of EHS Expansion and EHS-CCP grants is expected to open for competition in summer 2020. In a Program Instruction released on March 11, the Office of Head Start provided the following information:

One hundred million dollars is available to support new grants for traditional EHS and EHS-CC Partnerships to increase access to high-quality infant and toddler early learning. Funding will be awarded by March 2021. A funding opportunity announcement (FOA) is expected in summer 2020. This announcement will equally prioritize EHS expansion and EHS-CC Partnerships, as determined by the needs of local communities. More information on this opportunity will be available later this year.

Further, one of the funding highlights from the National Head Start Association (NHSA) Winter Leadership Institute was the upcoming EHS Expansion and EHS-CCP competition. Typically, a forecast is posted on grants.gov at least a few weeks in advance of the Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) being released. As of today, there is not a forecast posted. We’ll post an update here as soon as we see a forecast!
