Last week, DRS grant competitions were forecasted to open in September 2023. New information is now available about the forecasted service areas. You can view the preliminary lists of service areas, estimated funding, and estimated number of awards in the Office of Head Start Notice of Funding Opportunities (NOFO) Locator, and summarized below.

An important caveat from the DRS forecasts on grants.gov suggests that information could change (e.g., more service areas added, funding amounts revised). As stated in the DRS forecasts –

The number of available forecasted service areas are projections, and may be updated prior to the posting of the notice of funding opportunity.
