No sooner did we post about another group of service areas added to the list of grants forecasted for DRS round 7 when even more were added! On Friday, August 3, two additional forecasts joined the list. They are: Migrant and Seasonal Head Start Grantee – Counties within the states of Minnesota and North Dakota; and Head Start and/or Early Head Start Grantee – Johnson, Washington, Wilkes, and Glascock Counties, Georgia. The full list is here.

We also noticed that a few of the Head Start/Early Head Start forecasts have been updated. For example, we’ve seen some shifts from “Head Start” to “Head Start and/or Early Head Start.” Few of the projected timelines for the release of the Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) and due dates have also been changed. The timelines are still close (mid/late September through mid/late November).

If you’re not already signed up to receive notifications when the forecast for your grant is updated, we recommend doing this as soon as possible. You’ll receive alerts when anything about your forecasted grant changes. Log into your account in grants.gov to make this update.

We’ll let you know if we see any major changes to the forecasts or any additional service areas added! If your program is preparing to submit a grant proposal as part of DRS round 7, please feel free to be in touch. We would be glad to explore grant writing services and supports available to your program.

Thank you.
