The Region IV 2017 Leadership Institute is next month, and we’re excited to see many of you there! On June 26-29, Head Start and Early Head Start leaders will come together in Atlanta to collaborate, learn, and gain skills that you can take back to their program. To help kick off the Institute, Foundations for Families will be offering a full-day pre-conference session, Fiscal Success = Program Success in EHS-CCP: Revisit and Revamp your “Money” Strategy, on Monday, June 26, 2017! Amy Augenblick, Foundations for Families Executive Director, and Linda Dunphy, Senior Consultant, will discuss the utmost importance of a strong fiscal strategy and give you the tools to ensure your program is on a path to success.

We know that fiscal is the number one challenge of round 1 EHS-CCP grantees, and the number one reason community-based child care fails is poor fiscal management. We’ll help you revisit and revamp to avoid costly pitfalls. In our pre-conference session we’ll focus on the six pillars for EHS-CCP fiscal success. If you’re a seasoned EHS-CCP round 1 grantee that needs fiscal guidance, or a newly awarded round 1 grantee, this will be an opportunity to take a close look at your fiscal model, ask questions, and develop new strategies that will enhance the health of your program. Given the significant focus on fiscal as part of EHS-CCP monitoring, a strong focus on the fiscal aspect of your program is time well spent.

If you’re interested in attending, check out the pre-conference sessions information available from the Region IV Head Start Association. Advance registration is required to attend a pre-conference session, so be sure to reserve your spot for Fiscal Success = Program Success in EHS-CCP: Revisit and Revamp your “Money” Strategy. Please feel free to be in touch with any questions, and we hope to see you in Atlanta!

Thank you.
