Earlier this month the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) identified a fifth round of Head Start grantees that would be required to compete for continued Head Start funding. The 12 grantees designated to compete for funds are from 10 states:
- California (1)
- Colorado (1)
- Illinois (1)
- Kansas (2)
- Maryland (1)
- Michigan (1)
- Oklahoma (1)
- Pennsylvania (1)
- Texas (2)
- Virginia (1)
The Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) hasn’t been posted yet (we’ll let you know when we see it!), but Round 5 programs can still get to work. There are certain sections of the proposal that you may be able to start working on now (e.g., demonstration of need, past performance).
If your program is in Round 5 and you need help planning for or writing a winning proposal, or if you are an organization considering options available to your agency, please be in touch. We may be able to help you and would be glad to explore options.
Thank you.
