With the fourth round of Early Head Start Expansion and Early Head Start – Child Care Partnership (EHS-CCP) grants competitions coming soon, now is a good time to plan your application strategy. Foundations for Families offers customized grant services, and our team has supported successful EHS Expansion and EHS-CCP applications in every round of the initiative.

Below, you can learn more about the ways we support programs that are preparing a grant proposal. Our grant services approach is rooted in determining the unique needs of each program and tailoring grant services to meet those needs.

Comprehensive Grant Writing. Through comprehensive grant writing, Foundations for Families team members provide start to finish support to applicants to plan for, draft, and submit a high-quality, competitive proposal. We use a day-by-day work plan that includes weekly conference calls, section drafts, reviews, approvals, and all other factors impacting the proposal development process. Foundations for Families’ custom tools, materials, and templates support a smooth and thoughtful process to grant writing.

Grant Coaching. With grant coaching services, Foundations for Families provides tools and templates to the program and advises the applicant throughout the proposal development process. We engage with the program regularly – approximately four conference calls throughout the process – to provide input, answer questions, and help to guide the proposal development process. The applicant drafts the proposal. We provide an in-depth review of each narrative section and provide feedback on content, format, competitiveness, and alignment with grant evaluation criteria.

Toolkit. If your program plans to write its own grant proposal but needs tools to assist you through the grant writing process, then our EHS Expansion and EHS-CCP Toolkit might be the right fit. Our toolkit of resources will equip your program with the timeline, materials, and process it needs to successfully draft and submit a proposal.

Quality Assurance Review. Using custom tools, Foundations for Families team members conduct a detailed review of an applicant’s proposal (drafted by the applicant) and provide feedback to strengthen compliance and competitiveness of the proposal. This review can be conducted once or twice during the proposal development period and is done with an eye to alignment with evaluation criteria and requirements of the Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA).

Grants.gov Submission Support. The importance of timely and accurate data entry and submission of application components in grants.gov cannot be underestimated. To help agencies through this final stage of the application process, Foundations for Families offers grants.gov submission support. We will coach you through application submission so that you gain an understanding of submission in grants.gov and feel confident that your application is compliant and meets the deadline.

If you have any questions about Foundations for Families grant services please let us know. Grant services are implemented with customized approach and we would be glad to discuss the specific needs of your program.
