If the forecast on grants.gov holds true, Designation Renewal System (DRS) Round 6 grants will post next Wednesday, January 17, 2018 – just 5 days from now. This is a long time coming, as we first saw most of these grants forecasted in July 2017!

If you’ve been keeping a close eye on grants.gov you might have noticed that earlier this month the Head Start/Early Head Start forecasted competitions completely disappeared from the site. A few days later they were back up! After multiple delays to the forecast, perhaps next week will bring the Funding Opportunity Announcements (FOA).

To recap what we know so far – the grant competitions are expected to go live on grants.gov on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 and are forecasted to be due on March 22, 2018. A list of areas with forecasted competitive Head Start/Early Head Start grants is available here.

We look forward to seeing what next week brings and whether the FOAs mirror past rounds of DRS. If your program is expecting to have to compete for continued funding and you need any assistance with your grant writing process please feel free to be in touch. We would be glad to discuss consulting services available to meet your needs.

Thank you.
