Great news! On February 18th the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Grants Forecast was updated to include three forecasts for Early Head Start – Child Care Partnership (EHS-CCP) funding announcements. The purpose of the funding is to expand access to high-quality, comprehensive services to low-income infants and toddlers and their families through EHS-Child Care Partnerships or through the expansion of Early Head Start services.
Here’s what we know so far –
- Early Head Start Expansion and EHS-Child Care Partnership Grants forecasted as of 2/18/16
- $135 million available, with estimated award ceiling of $5 million and estimated award floor of $750,000
- Estimated number of awards is 75
- Estimated post date of the funding announcement is May 2, 2016, with an estimated application due date of July 1, 2016
- American Indian/Alaska Native EHS Expansion and EHS-Child Care Partnerships forecasted as of 2/18/16
- Approximately $3.5 million available, with estimated award ceiling of $1 million and estimated award floor of $500,000
- Estimated number of awards is 7
- Estimated post date of the funding announcement is May 2, 2016, with an estimated application due date of July 1, 2016
- Migrant and Seasonal EHS-Child Care and EHS Expansion Partnerships forecasted as of 2/18/16
- Approximately $5.4 million available, with estimated award ceiling of $1 million and estimated award floor of $500,000
- Estimated number of awards is 10
- Estimated post date of the funding announcement is May 2, 2016, with an estimated application due date of July 1, 2016
