The 43rd Annual Head Start Conference and Expo took place in Nashville, Tennessee last week and was a great success. Thank you to everyone who came to Foundation for Families’ session, EHS-Child Care Partnerships: Managing the Money, led by Clare Siegel. We had over 150 attendees at the session! It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces and make new connections.

We sensed, and many of you told us, there was a strong interest in learning about the Early Head Start – Child Care Partnerships (EHS-CCP) fiscal approach. We know child care business practices differ from EHS operations, and shared with you fiscal lessons learned from EHS-CCP Round 1. At the conference session, we presented examples and strategies to support the successful management of EHS-CCP funds. Fiscal and business system support for child care partners in particular is a key lever for success, and we heard this from those in attendance!

Many attendees at the conference expressed interest in follow up, targeted services related to EHS-CCP fiscal approaches. Stay tuned for more information about services we’ll be offering! Also, check out a new page on our website – Speaking Engagements – for a list of upcoming conferences. We’ll update the page with information about presentations and speaking engagements by Foundations for Families. We hope to see you at a conference soon!

Thank you.
