Update (5/7/18, 3:15pm): The EHS Expansion and EHS-CCP grants forecast has been removed from grants.gov. We’re keeping an eye out to see if it posts again. Check back here for updates. Thank you!

On Friday, May 4, 2018 Early Head Start Expansion and Early Head Start – Child Care Partnership (EHS-CCP) grants were forecasted on grants.gov. There is approximately $98 million available for grants, and the Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) is expected to post on June 5. This is an exciting time for programs to expand access to high-quality comprehensive services for infants and toddlers!

Here are the details we know so far, gathered from the forecast on grants.gov:

Timeline: The FOA is expected to post on June 5, 2018, and proposals will be due on August 6, 2018. The estimated award date is March 1, 2019. Project start date is March 4, 2019.

Funding: $98 million is available for grants. The award floor is $750,000 and the award ceiling is $8 million.

Expected Number of Awards: It is expected that 60 awards will be made.

Eligibility: Per the forecast, “eligibility is limited to public or private non-profit organizations, including faith-based organizations or for-profit organizations that can provide Early Head Start services to children and families. Entities operating Head Start programs are eligible to operate Early Head Start programs.” (See the announcement on grants.gov for the full details.)

The estimated posting date of the FOA is now less than 1 month away. During the next month, we’ll provide reflections, tips, and resources to help guide proposal development. If your program is in need of support to plan for, draft, or execute a competitive proposal please be in touch. Foundations for Families offers grant services tailored to each program’s needs. This includes comprehensive grant writing, grant coaching, as well as quality assurance reviews.

Thank you.
