According to the most recent HHS Grants Forecast, the release of Funding Opportunity Announcements (FOA) for Round 2 Early Head Start – Child Care Partnership grants is about a week away. Since the release of the FOA was delayed once already, we’re expecting it will be released on June 30 (but, nothing is certain!).

You may remember that earlier this year we offered a webinar series to help programs prepare for EHS-CCP Round 2. Resources from the webinars, with topics ranging from grant writing to fiscal strategy, are posted on our website and are available to you to support your planning for Round 2. Don’t forget that ACF has also posted Frequently Asked Questions, which may be helpful to review in advance of the release of the FOA.

Since summer schedules can be challenging between vacations and planning for the new program year, one of our top recommendations is to develop a detailed timeline for development of your Round 2 proposal. Identify everyone who will be involved in the process and cover all of the bases – planning program design, grant writing, reviews, approvals, and submission. Develop a detailed list of what each team member is responsible for and when. From the start, know who will be in and out of the office so that you can coordinate schedules and help to ensure a smooth process leading up to the August 30th proposal deadline.

Thank you.
