It has been an exciting week for Head Start/Early Head Start, including Early Head Start-Child Care Partnerships (EHS-CCP). This week, Congress approved an increase of $610 million for Head Start/Early Head Start funding in FY2018 from the FY2017 amount.

This increase is welcome news for the Head Start/Early Head Start community. As NHSA reports, within the $9.853 billion for Head Start/Early Head Start is $755 million for EHS-CCP. This is a $115 million increase over the year prior.

We look forward to hearing how the funds will be distributed, and what opportunities will result from the new EHS-CCP funding. As we learn more, we’ll share it with you here!

Thank you.
