Congratulations to Foundations for Families team member, Clare Siegel, for being selected by the National Center on Early Head Start Child Care Partnerships as one of forty start-up implementation planners. Clare and her peers attended training on February 24-25 in Washington, DC.

Many people (we heard 400?!) applied to be either a fiscal or start up implementation consultant. In addition to the forty implementers, they accepted twenty fiscal consultants. The National Center has done a great job identifying a diverse group of consultants with impressive skills, knowledge and experience.

Clare has over thirty five years of experience in the early childhood field with a focus on infants and toddlers, families, and special populations. Her expertise includes engaging families and communities, early childhood development, program development, management and monitoring, home visiting and center based programming, training and technical assistance and direct services to infant/toddlers, families and young children with special needs. She has coordinated Head Start and Early Head Start programs in urban and rural settings, provided training and technical assistance to a wide range of audiences on a variety of topics and provided early intervention services in an urban school district and a university affiliated facility for children with disabilities. She brings this valuable perspective and knowledge to the Foundations for Families team.

Next week, Clare will share insights from the start-up implementer training.
