Recently, we have reviewed the initial ESH-CCP awards by region and have examined key details in Region 4 and 9. More EHS-CCP funds were awarded to Region 4 ($104,200,000) than any other region and Region 9 got the second highest amount ($79,100,000).

Region 5 received the next largest number of initial dollars: $61,100,000. There were 30 successful applicants. Region 5 tied with Region 6 for the most new grantees awards of any region, as a portion of all awards in the region. While just 5% of the awards in Region 9 went to new grantees (this was the lowest percent of all regions), 23% of the grantees in Region 5 were new.
